Herson Suindah

Mr. Herson Suindah is a Senior Vice President for Special Projects & Investments in the Chairman’s Office of Sinar Mas. He focuses on investing in digital infrastructure and other “New Economy” infrastructure platforms.

Prior to Sinar Mas, he was the founder and Managing Partner of Blackstar Asia Capital, an investment platform focusing on the “New Economy” real estate sector.

Prior to founding Blackstar, Mr. Suindah was a Managing Director and Member of the Investment Committee at Ancora Capital (Singapore) where he led a real estate private equity fund that invested in residential projects in Indonesia.

Before embarking on his investment career in Asia, Mr. Suindah spent 11 years on Wall Street as an investment banker in rising positions at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank and Zelman & Associates covering the real estate, industrials and private equity sectors. He started his professional career as an engineer for Mercedes-Benz Group in the United States.

Mr. Suindah received an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Industrials & Manufacturing Engineering from Oregon State University.
