Sam Lawn

Sam Lawn is a seasoned finance and management executive with a track record in financing, capital raising, and corporate development. Currently he serves as the Deputy CFO at GDS, a leading developer and operator of high-performance data centers in China and Southeast Asia.

At GDS, Sam has played a pivotal role in managing financial functions and driving investment returns across a vast portfolio of 100+ operational data centers. His leadership was instrumental in completing the Hong Kong IPO for GDS secondary listing.

Prior to his role at GDS, Sam held the position of CFO at Taomee Holdings, overseeing financial, operational, and investment matters for the entire organization. Sam's expertise also extends to other roles as Executive Director and Head of Investor Relations at Renren Inc, where he developed IR and capital markets communication strategies engaging with global institutional investors. Sam was also a senior research analyst at Oppenheimer and Co., where he covered China Internet, Technology, On-Line Gaming, and Lodging.
