Gautam Saxena

Gautam is a senior Investment Banker with over 25 years experience focusing primarily on the TMT Sector and has worked across the US, Europe and Asia. He has advised leading TMT Sector Companies, on their strategic initiatives and led a number of complex M&A and financing transactions over the years.

Gautam has extensive experience in the South East and South Asian regions where he has deep relationships across corporates, conglomerates and family owned business. He was previously Managing Director, Co-Head of Asia Pacific TMT at Merrill Lynch/Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Gautam received an MBA from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.

Gautam forayed into the buy side in 2008. He founded Pegasus 7 Ventures, a Singapore based venture capital fund that believes in deploying capital with a purpose. Gautam established Pegasus with the objective of investing in technology enabled Companies that address emerging market needs, with distinct solutions for those in the lower income groups.

Gautam believes purpose driven businesses can achieve deep social impact and generate robust returns for shareholders. He hopes that this belief and the ecosystem supporting such businesses expands exponentially, particularly in South East and South Asia.
