Qori Qurrota Aini

Qori is an interdisciplinary critical thinker with a keen desire to make a real impact on the world through her creative, unconventional & entrepreneurial spirit.

As one of the pioneering batches of the NUS Global Studies program, she is trained in the art of public policy analysis studied through a global developmental issue-based perspective that considers both state and non-state actors, such as transnational companies (TNC), in a systems-based approach. This broadly includes exploring emerging markets, I.e. ASEAN and Asia ex-Japan, critiquing emerging technologies that have given rise to Industry 4.0, and unpacking contemporary issues such as international climate justice, transboundary environmental issues, and their intersections with clean & renewable energy projects in the Indochina region, to name a few.

Qori grew up in Southampton, UK, & has been living in Singapore & Jakarta as a third culture individual. She is a multilingual global citizen & changemaker. She views the world from a comparative economics perspective.

Drawing from lessons of the Western cradle-to-grave social security model & Singapore’s CPF system, she previously worked as a Wealth Management Associate at PIAS, specialising in long term care policies (Careshield Life/ElderShield), in order to better understand Singapore’s retirement & healthcare system from within the industry. This is part of a longer term project aimed at generating reform proposals for how the Indonesian pension system can be improved to account for nominal inflation & the challenges of transposing a system to scale that are different in demographic makeup & economic structure.

She regularly participates in conferences & webinars on economics, finance & development. Given her lifelong background in International Relations & Foreign Affairs, she is adept at analysing geopolitical trends in order to identify investment opportunities based on changing patterns in the global arbitrage, flow, & exchange of goods, services, & ideas. Her extensive network & anthropological perspective renders her far from being an armchair theoretic & a lot more hands-on informed.

Qori is a skilled conversationalist & understanding listener who enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life.

Today, Qori is the co-founder & director of Quantum Data Center Advisory based in SG & leads a global team of DC industry veterans on data center projects in India, Japan & Thailand.
