Dr Lara Stoimenova

Dr. Lara launched Sigma Economics on the back of over 20 years’ of experience as a competition and regulatory policy expert.

She has direct experience of influencing regulatory decisions at the highest level and understating what matters most to decision makers. Currently, she serves as NED on the boards of the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (a regulatory body) and Portsmouth Water (a regulated commercial entity).

Prior to launching Sigma Economics, Dr. Lara worked as a Partner and Co-lead of the Competition and Regulatory practice at Flint Global. She has also worked in senior roles at the UK’s competition authority (CMA) and Ofcom.

Lara has also recently cofounded Simulnova Software to develop next generation digital twin software applications to assist firms with their biggest challenges (the so called ‘unknown unknowns’).
