Sacha Kavanagh is a UK-based freelance analyst with more than 20 years of experience researching and writing about data centres, cloud, IoT, enterprise technology and telecommunications. She joined Structure Research in 2015 where her coverage is focused on EMEA and Latin America. She is the lead author for Structure Research’s data centre and interconnection reports for key European markets.
Mrs. Kavanagh is a director of Ocean Point Limited, which in 2019 became a member of the VIVACE community, providing expertise and capabilities to the Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE), a Home Office unit within the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT).
Mrs. Kavanagh was previously a contributor to 5g.co.uk, for which she researched and wrote guides on topics and technologies from network slicing to AI, and the tactile Internet to compound semiconductors. She previously worked for DCD Intelligence, the research arm of Datacenter Dynamics, where she wrote case studies on colocation providers and reports on topics including network virtualization and the use of colocation and cloud services by financial and e-gambling companies. She has previously written blogs, reports and case studies about IoT for IoTUK/Digital Catapult, and spent seven years at independent research firm OTR Global.
Mrs. Kavanagh has previously been contracted to Global Data to write blogs, reports and case studies about IoT for IoTUK/Digital Catapult, as well as extensive reporting and analysis into BYOD and tablet usage in the UK public sector.
