Tony has over 30 years of experience executing investment strategies in energy and related infrastructure. As a partner at AVAIO, he brings a depth of experience from having built several infrastructure-related businesses in North America and Europe's power and midstream sectors. Prior to founding AVAIO, Tony spent 14 years at Och-Ziff Capital Management, where he co-founded their energy private equity business and led investments in the power, midstream and upstream sectors. Before Och-Ziff, Tony was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he co-founded both their North American and European power and natural gas businesses.
Since 1989, Tony has been intimately involved in the creation of institutional capital approaches to mitigate the effects of climate change. Tony has been at the forefront of the institutional investment industry dialogue on sustainability & ESG. At AVAIO, Tony oversees investment activities, helping to align with environmental best practices. Tony holds a B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Yale University.
