Rt Hon Alun Cairns

The Rt Hon Alun Cairns is a former UK Cabinet Minister who served three Prime Ministers as the Secretary of State for Wales.

In Government and Parliament, he was a strong advocate for policies to support international trade and the development of the Fintech industry. He became the Co-Chair of the All-Party Fintech Group in Parliament and Deputy Chair of the Blockchain and Crypto Asset Groups. He also chaired the groups on Wholesale and Financial Markets and Energy Security and was a member of the UK Board of Trade.

Since leaving Parliament, Alun Cairns works as an international business and policy consultant, supporting both business and the public sector in a range of fields, from finance to Blockchain, AI and Energy. He holds an MBA that specialises in International Trade.

Outside of business, Alun Cairns is a keen runner and has completed 13 London Marathons!
