Initially supported by the Actis Group - its largest investment to date - Atlas quickly became Latin America's largest privately-owned renewables independent power producer (IPP) and one of the world's fastest-growing renewable energy companies.

Today, the company is backed by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a leading infrastructure fund manager with a renewable energy portfolio of over 19 GW of operating and construction capacity worldwide.

Currently, the company boasts one of the largest fleets of renewable energy projects in the Americas with an asset base of more than 8.4 GW, of which 3.6 GW are operational and 3.2 GW are in advanced development or construction stages.
