For more than 17 years, Charmian Aw has built a track record of representing market-leading global corporations in navigating the increasingly complex, diverse and fast-evolving tech and data legal landscape in the Asia Pacific region. She has acted in dozens of strategic, high-value technology transactions, including the development and deployment of AI solutions, commercialization of data and digital assets, transitioning to electronic platforms, cloud migration and the procurement and integration of IT systems. Wilson Chung is a Managing Director at DigitalBridge Investment Management. Mr. Chung is based in Singapore and focuses on identifying and evaluating Asia Pacific investment opportunities. He has over 15 years of infrastructure, private equity, and corporate finance experience in Asia.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Chung was most recently a Senior Vice President in the infrastructure principal investments team at Macquarie Capital. He led Macquarie’s balance sheet investments in digital infrastructure in Asia, with a focus on building platforms and developing greenfield datacenters and other digital infrastructure assets. Prior to that role, Mr. Chung worked in Macquarie Capital’s private capital markets team where he focused on principal investments and advisory mandates across the consumer and technology sectors in Asia.

Prior to Macquarie Capital, Mr. Chung was a co-founder and CFO of Litegrid Holdings Ltd, a Hong Kong telecommunications infrastructure developer and prior to that, he covered consumer, industrial and telecom investments for Unitas Capital, an Asian regional private equity fund. Mr. Chung started his career as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup.

Waleed Saraf is a Principal Investment Officer and Regional Head for IFC’s TMT/Digital Infrastructure business in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Waleed has over 18 years of experience in sourcing, structuring, and monitoring infrastructure investments, across debt, mezzanine and equity products in emerging markets in Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Asia. In his current role, Waleed supports IFC’s digital business, focusing on business development across Asia Pacific. Waleed holds an MBA from London Business School.

Sunita Lukkhoo, a professional with an array of experience, currently holds the position of Head of Regional Representation for Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Her journey within the European Investment Bank (EIB) has been marked by notable roles, including her prior role as the Principal Advisor in the Western Balkans Division and her leadership in the Global relationship for lending in Croatia.

From 2003 to 2020, Sunita demonstrated her expertise as the Country Manager for lending in South Asia & Pacific at the EIB, the European Union's financing institution. Victor Chiew is a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills currently on secondment to Prolegis LLC, the firm's Formal Law Alliance partner firm in Singapore. He has over 12 years of experience as a corporate M&A, investments and transactional lawyer, specialising in private capital and in the technology, media and telecoms sector, including digital infrastructure. He advises on a wide range of corporate transactions, including domestic and international M&A, joint ventures, minority investments and series fund raisings. He has acted for some of the most prominent global and regional names, including Apple, GIC, Goldman Sachs, Sequoia Capital, Grab and SoftBank.

Jing joined Nuveen from CBRE where she worked in the Data Centre Solutions team and provided advisory services in the Data Centre sector across APAC region. Prior to that, Jing worked for six years at Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR/S&P 500), where she held several management roles in portfolio asset management team and investment team. She also served as the company’s spokeswomen in Hong Kong. Jing started her real estate career at Eureka Fund Management (now known as AXA IM Australia) in 2006, where she managed the finance function for an AUD $800 million commercial property and hotel fund as part of the company’s AUD $4 billion AUM.

Jing graduated with a Bachelor's of Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law (China) and a Masters of Professional Accounting from Wollongong University (Australia) and she is a Certified Public Accountant.

Bill Barney is Chairman of Asian Century Equity. During his 25-year tenure as an investor,

board member and CEO in Asia, Bill Barney assembled and managed some of the

strongest performing management teams in the region. These teams consistently

achieved the industry's highest growth rates for both EBITDA and revenue growth.

Most recently, Bill co-founded and is Chairman of Modularity, a pioneering company

dedicated to transforming the creation and development of large-scale undersea

communications networks through its American-built modular edge data centers and

modular cable landing station solutions.

Earlier Bill was founder and CEO of Turbidite which he sold in 18 months. Before that,

Bill served as Chairman and CEO of Global Cloud Xchange and Reliance Communication.

Prior to these roles, he spent a decade as CEO of Pacnet. He also served as APAC

President at MCI Worldcom, VP of AMEA at Global One (now Orange Business Services)

and held leadership roles at AT&T.

Across the telecom and technology sectors, Bill has been an advocate for regulatory and

industry change and a major proponent of Cloud Computing and Open networks. He

currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Pacific

Telecommunications Council (PTC) and is host of PTC’s Digging Into the Future, a Vlog

talk show featuring discussions with tech CEOs from all over the world.

Over the past two decades, Bill has received numerous accolades for his industry

leadership including DataCloud Asia’s Thought Leadership awards in 2018 and Data

Center Achievement Award in 2017. Earlier he was voted Best APAC Telecom

Executive by CommsDay readers in 2009 and named 2008 CEO of the Year by

TelecomAsia.

Tim Knowles is an experienced finance and M&A professional with significant expertise in telecommunications and emerging markets, serving both as an advisor and a principal. He has managed and closed over 20 deals with a cumulative value exceeding USD 50 billion. Notable transactions include Etisalat’s USD 5.8 billion acquisition of 53% of Maroc Telecom, Qtel’s USD 3.8 billion acquisition of Wataniya, PCCW’s USD 28 billion acquisition of HKT, and the creation of EADS valued at USD 15 billion.

His M&A experience spans across LATAM (Colombia, Peru, El Salvador), Africa (DRC, Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, Atlantique Telecom, Maroc Telecom), Asia (Hong Kong, India, Malaysia), and Europe (UK, France, Switzerland, Finland). Jabez Tan is the Head of Research at Structure Research, an independent Toronto and Singapore-based research and consulting firm devoted to the cloud and data centre infrastructure services markets, with a specialization in the hyperscale value chain.
