In 2001 he built and presented, together with a group of his colleagues, the first integrated website for the Prefecture of Trikala, 3kala.gr.

Since 2002 he has been practicing the profession of Electrical and Computer Engineer in the city of Trikala. He was involved in studies and construction of private electromechanical projects and the creation of software programs. In 2007 he entered the field of renewable energy and has constructed more than 300 private renewable energy projects.

His involvement in the community began in 2002, with his election to the City Council. He was re-elected in 2006, and in 2014 he was elected Mayor of Trikkaion and member of the Board of Directors of KEDE. He was re-elected Mayor in 2019 and, in the same year, he was elected President of the KEDE.

He is married to the engineer Soula Brakis and is the happy father of Faye, Kostas and Nikos.

From June 2023, he is Minister of Digital Governance in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Achilles Risvas founded Dromeus Capital Group in April 2008. As CEO & Chief Investment Officer, he leads the firm’s overall strategy and investment activities. Dr. Kyriacos Sabatakakis is the Country Managing Director of Accenture in Greece with responsibility for several markets in Southeastern Europe, overseeing a practice of more than 2,400 Consultants.

He has held this position since September 2003 and has led multiple projects both in Greece and internationally on strategy, business transformation, technology, operations and digital entrepreneurship in big corporations and organizations. From 2003 to 2008, he was also responsible for Accenture’s global mobile network business. He worked for many years with Andersen Consulting in Zurich as well as high tech companies in Switzerland.

He holds a BSc from Yale University, an MSc from Dartmouth College and a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens.

Svein Atle Hagaseth recently took over as the CEO of Green Mountain after 7 years as the Chief Sales Officer in the same company. He has a 20+ yearlong sales, sales management and executive experience in the IT and Financial Services markets both in Norway, Europe and in North America, working for companies like Telenor, CSC, Tieto, Lindorff and CGI before joining Green Mountain in 2016. Hagaseth now leads Green Mountain on their journey of building the most sustainable and energy efficient Pan-European data center co-location provider. Miles is well recognized as the industry’s leading appraiser of data center properties. His experience includes advising private equity funds, institutional investors, large pension funds, Fortune 500 companies, cloud companies and Global IT conglomerates on investments in all types of data centers, including mission critical, disaster recovery data centers, colocation facilities, carrier hotels, internet gateways and life science properties. Simon is Echelon’s Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for engagement with the customer's commercial and technical teams, both pre- and post-contract. He works closely with the design and construction teams to ensure seamless integration between the customer's requirements and Echelon's proposals.

Wolfgang joined APEX Ventures in 2017, initially as Venture Partner and later as General Partner. At APEX, he leads and co-leads the investment activities of its early-stage and deep-tech portfolios. He holds non-executive board and chairman positions at various APEX portfolio companies in Austria and Germany working, among others, on photonics, quantum technologies, autonomous systems & robotics, airborne & space technologies, energy tech as well as AI and machine learning. Previously, he filled various executive management board positions and worked as a Partner at McKinsey & Company across numerous industries.

Maz Rimkus joined Goldacre in 2018 and is a Vice President in the Investments team, with 7 years of experience. Maz supports transaction execution and portfolio management focusing on investments within the digital infrastructure and related sectors. He has been involved in various M&A, equity and debt raising processes. Prior to joining Goldacre, Maz worked on investments in the TMT and special situations sectors.Maz graduated cum laude from Erasmus University Rotterdam with an MSc in Financial Economics and has passed all three levels of the CFA Program.In his free time Maz enjoys going for an occasional run or bike ride. He is also a mentor at Vilnius University students’ investment fund.

David is the Founder & CEO of XYZ Reality and is on a mission to revolutionise the construction industry with his build it right first time philosophy and Engineering Grade AR™. Before XYZ Reality, David worked as a digital construction manager on some of Europe’s largest projects including: The Shard, Battersea power station and hyperscale data centres. David is a leading expert in digital construction and has been recognised for his innovation in this space.

Michalis is the Managing Director for HPE Greece and Cyprus since January 2018.

Michalis joined HP in 1994 as a Presales Manager in the Enterprise Systems Group. After 2002 he spent five years as the Enterprise Servers Storage and Networking manager leading Industry Standard Servers and UNIX Lines of Business in the first market share position in Greece and Cyprus.

From 2007 until 2013 Michalis was assigned to the positions of Sales Manager for the Enterprise Group and then to the Technology Services Group of HP in Greece and Cyprus.

In 2013 he assumed a regional role as a Technology Services Support Manager in the regions of Greece, Cyprus and Africa.

Michalis holds a Degree in Mathematics from the University of Athens and a master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Glasgow. He is based in Athens, Greece.

Dr. Thorsten Lambertus is the Managing Director of DEEP, the Institute for Deep Tech Innovation, at ESMT Berlin. Prior to his role at ESMT, he has built up the neurotechlab by Biogen in Germany, initiated and led Fraunhofer’s central tech transfer and startup incubation programs and co-founded two startups himself. For the past 15 years, Thorsten has also been an entrepreneurship educator at various universities and research organizations, such as Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, TU Munich, or WU Vienna. He is also following his passion on science-backed innovations by hosting the Hightech Ventures podcast.

Prior to joining Deeptech Labs, Sasha spent four years at the Creative Destruction Lab, a startup accelerator at the University of Oxford, where she led the AI stream and worked closely with 50+ startups.

Most recently, she was an investor at Creator Fund and is an angel investor with a particular interest in female founded ventures. Having started her career in the arts, as a classical theatre director, she then cofounded an immersive production company in 2015 and drove it through four years of growth. Sasha holds a BA in French from the University of Leeds and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Matthew Baynes serves as the Vice President, Strategic Partners for the Cloud and Service Provider Segment of Schneider Electric. As a Board Member of the European Data Centre Association (EUDCA) and the Net Zero Innovation Hub Matthew is dedicated to helping cloud, hyperscale and colocation service providers design, build and operate sustainable digital infrastructure.

Matthew has over 20 years of experience within the IT, Data Centre and manufacturing industries, and today he focuses on identifying and developing business opportunities within new, existing and emerging markets; often working directly with global customers to help them scale into new regions quickly and efficiently.

Matthew currently leads a global team dedicated to develop & grow partnerships with Design, Construction & Technology Partners in the Cloud & Colocation data centre market supporting design, innovate, build, operate & maintain needs & requirements through the data centre lifecycle.

Matthew is an experienced commercial individual, who also works across the Schneider Electric organisation to influence the company’s growth strategy and its data center lifecycle offers, while helping to address new market trends and enhance customer acquisition strategies.

Abel joined ISTARI in October 2020. Today, he is ISTARI's Chief Technology Officer.

Before joining ISTARI, Abel was Head of IT and Digital Transformation for Bayer Pharma Division since 2017 and a member of the Bayer Group IT Board. Before joining Bayer, Abel was Global CIO, Sandoz, a Novartis Division (2012-17) and head of IT for Novartis Technical Operations (~85 plants), looking after manufacturing, supply chain and quality. He was a member of the Novartis IT Board.

Ainsley Woods is a Senior Research Analyst with Structure Research, an independent Toronto and Singapore-based research and consulting firm devoted to the cloud and data centre

infrastructure services market with a special focus on the hyperscale value chain.

Prior to that, he had held top management positions with listed companies within the IT, Telecom and Financial Services sectors. He has been also a founding member & the Chairman of the European Data Centre Association (EUDCA) based in Brussels for 10 years. Apostolos has formed, sold and was/is shareholder and/or Executive Board member in a number of companies in the Technology, Security and Real Estate sectors.

Apostolos has been honoured with the Kouros Award for Development and Innovation, the Best European Data Centre Entrepreneur Award and the RSM Ruban D’ honneur RSM Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
